{"id":56268,"date":"2022-11-03T06:05:44","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T04:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/noordkaapbulletin\/jonges-beleef-avonture-20221101-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T14:06:23","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T12:06:23","slug":"jonges-beleef-avonture-20221101-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/noordkaapbulletin\/jonges-beleef-avonture-20221101-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Jonges beleef avonture"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Baie pret met waardevolle kennis wat opgedoen is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So word die onlangse kamp wat deur 14 Voortrekkers op die Bodemvas-terrein en Wildeklawer-plaas naby Barkly-Wes bygewoon is, beskryf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die kamp in Oktober is deur tien jeuglede en vier volwasse Voortrekker-offisiere \u2013 Dawid, Susan en Schalk van der Berg van Kathu en Dylan Erasmus van Despatch \u2013 bygewoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Voortrekkers is \u2019n kultuurorganisasie waar kultuur en avontuur in die natuur geniet word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drie deskundiges uit die gemeenskap het tydens die kamp insette gelewer. Coen Visser, geoloog, het geologie en geohidrologie (waterstudie) verduidelik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annemarie van Heerden, botanis van die McGregor-herbarium, het plantkunde behandel, <span>en <\/span>Manie Pickard van Wildeklawer het die bestuur van water in landbou bespreek en \u2019n besoek is aan die landerye gebring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die gr. 8-kamp was deel van \u2019n groter gebiedskamp van omtrent 100 Voortrekkers. Hulle het \u2019n wye spektrum vaardighede tydens drie spesialisasies baasgeraak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die varswater-spesialisasie behels onder meer die bestuur en bewaring van vars water. Die seremonie-spesialisasie sluit die uitvoering van seremonies, paradewerk en seremoni\u00eble drilwerk, soos by drilvertonings en taptoes, in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die voetslaner-spesialisasie sluit teoretiese kennis in, asook \u2019n staptog van 20 km, vier nagte oorslaap en weer 20 km terugstap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die staptog begin om 04:00 om die Kalahari-son te ontwyk. Hierdeur word sielkundige grense verskuif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2019n Hoogtepunt was die vier dae op Wildeklawer, \u2019n topplaas. Daar is onder die oop sterrehemel op die oewer van die Vaalrivier geslaap, kos in die veld gemaak, saans om die vuur gekuier en deurnag wag gestaan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nog \u2019n hoogtepunt was die bou van toestelle soos barometers, anemometers en windkouse waarmee klimaatsfaktore wat re\u00ebn be\u00efnvloed, gemonitor kan word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die gr. 11-leerling, die \u201cVlotters\u201d, het een nag op hul vlot oorgeroei en die gr. 8-leerlinge gedoop omdat dit hul eerste verkenner- of ho\u00ebrskoolkamp was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2019n Boeresportsessie in die knie-diepte modderwater naby \u2019n spilpunt het gou in \u2019n volskaalse modderbad ontaard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die gr. 8-leerlinge bedank Louis de Kock van Wildeklawer, en die gasheer, Manie Pickard.
