The grader will be utilised to scrape gravel roads and clear rough soil surfaces in informal settlements and rural communites, and to maintain the roads. \u201cOur communites matter to us and we understand the social and infrastructure challenges that Postmasburg experiences. Iron Ore\u2019s Kolomela Mine recently donated a grader, with the approximate value of R4 million, to the Tsantsabane Municipality in Postmasburg. The grader will be utilised to scrape gravel roads and clear rough soil surfaces in informal settlements and rural communites, and to maintain the roads. \u201cOur communites matter to us and we understand the social and infrastructure challenges that Postmasburg experiences. Our hope is that the grader will add value to the community and we will continue working together for the betterment of our community,\u201d said the chief executive officer (CEO) of Kumba Iron Ore, Mpumi Zikalala. He promised Kumba would pull all community stakeholders together to drive an ambitious Postmasburg renewal project that will seek to give the town an infrastructre facelift. The mayor of Tsantsabane, Helena English, accepted the grader and committed to a proper maintenance and service plan for the grader.
