Pieter van Wyk, botanist at the |Ai-|Ais\/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, has been announced as one of three world-wide winners of the prestigious Future For Nature (FFN) Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Wyk will be accepting his prize in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inspired by the winners, Wageningen University ecologists founded the FFN Academy in 2016. It spreads the inspiration and dedication of FFN winners and other conservation heroes to a growing network of students and young graduates across the Netherlands to fuel the young generation\u2019s passion for nature conservation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Wyk won because of his outstanding efforts in the protection of species in the Richtersveld. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
