Kommer heers dat die Noord-Kaapse premier se kantoor moontlik nie \u2019n deursigtige, billike, kostedoeltreffende en mededingende tenderproses gevolg het wat betref \u2019n huurkontrak vir \u2019n nuwe kantoorkompleks nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit kom n\u00e1 opmerkings oor die algehele begroting van die premier se kantoor vir die nuwe geldjaar wat met 55% gestyg het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens gerugte kos die DSC-kantoorgebou in Monumenthoogte, Kimberley, wat die premier gaan huur, glo heelwat meer per maand as die Transnet-gebou in De Beers, wat tot nou gehuur is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00f3 s\u00ea Pakes Dikgetsi, Cope-uitvoerende raadslid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea dit herinner aan die Trifecta-skandaal waarin John Block, voormalige Noord-Kaapse ANC-leier en LUR, en Christo Scholtz, Trifecta-direkteur, 15 jaar gevangenisstraf weens bedrog opgel\u00ea is. Block het sy magte misbruik sodat Scholtz se Trifecta-maatskappy duur staatshuur\u00adkontrakte vir kantoorruimte bekom het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIets is nie pluis nie, en ek gaan dit by die Openbare Beskermer aanmeld,\u201d s\u00ea Dikgetsi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy probeer al meer as \u2019n maand om die finale geskatte provinsiale inkomste-en-uitgawes-verslag van amptenare te bekom. Volgens inligting vervat in die proefkopie van die geskatte provinsiale inkomste-en-uitgawes-verslag wat hy het, styg die koste vir die 2022-\u201923 geldjaar vir dienste en produkte (wat kantoorhuur insluit) met 885%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die vorige begroting hiervoor was R15 miljoen, terwyl dit R150 miljoen vir die 2023-\u201924-geldjaar beloop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs \u2019n mens na die kantoorhuur\u00adbedrae kyk, wissel die bedrae op onverklaarbare wyse. In die 2019-\u201920-geldjaar beloop die kantoorhuur R10 miljoen, en daal na R7 miljoen in die 2020-\u201921-boekjaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn die 2021-\u201922-geldjaar styg dit na R20 miljoen en vir die 2022-\u201923-geldjaar is R19 miljoen bewillig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie geweldige styging vir dienste en produkte beteken geld moet van elders geskuif word, want die premier se kantoor kry nie meer geld van die nasionale regering nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDit gaan dienslewering ernstig benadeel as meer geld vir luukse kantoorhuur gevind moet word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie premier het in 2019 in sy inhuldigingstoespraak ges\u00ea hy gaan koste besnoei, die premierswoning verkoop (wat nie gedoen is nie), goedkoper motors gebruik (maar hy huur duur staatsmotors) en geen blomme, gebottelde water en rooi tapyte gebruik nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOns gaan \u2019n aansoek ingevolge die Wet op die Bevordering van Toegang tot Inligting (Paia) indien om verdere inligting te bekom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens hom is die nuwe kantoor \u201c \u2019n elitistiese dobbelary\u201d met die beperkte staatshulpbronne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pleks van besteding op dienslewering word dit gebruik om die \u201cweelderige leefstyl van die vet katte\u201d te bevredig. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGaan die hele gebied, insluitend aangrensende persele soos die North Cape Mall, die koffiewinkel, karwassery en mediese klinieke gesluit moet word? Hierdie stap is nie behoorlik deurdink nie. Ek hoop regtig dat geen tenderknoeiery plaasgevind het nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOns premier is \u2019n man wat vele beloftes maak. Ons wag vir sy reaksie, maar is al gewoond aan sy gebruiklike stilte oor kontroversi\u00eble sake.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Maart het Danie Coetzee, VF Plus-lid van die provinsiale wetgewer (LPW), in \u2019n verklaring ges\u00ea sy wenkbroue lig oor die \u201cgeweldige styging van 55% vir die begroting van die premier se kantoor\u201d. Sy kommentaar het gekom nadat Abraham Vosloo, LUR vir finansies, die provinsiale begroting ter tafel gel\u00ea het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie VF Plus sal die styging in die premier se begroting fynkam.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
