NoordkaapBulletin<\/span> <\/em> se redakteur, Helena Barnard, het gese\u00ebvier in die afdeling vir digitale verslaggewing op die Forum vir Gemeenskapsjoernaliste (FCJ) se jaarlikse AVBOB FCJ-toekennings\u00adgeleentheid, wat Vrydag (04\/08) in die Cape Sun-hotel in Kaapstad aangebied is.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die jaarlikse toekenning van eerbewyse gee erkenning aan gemeenskapsjoernaliste van plaaslike koerante oor die land heen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marietta Lombard, uitvoerende direkteur van die FCJ, s\u00ea die aantal inskrywings vir die kompetisie was vanjaar byna dubbeld soveel soos vir verlede jaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altesaam 527 inskrywings is ontvang, en redaksielede van Sentraal24, wat bestaan uit die plaaslike koerante Vista, Bloemnuus<\/em>,<\/em><\/span>NoordkaapBulletin<\/em>, Express<\/em>en VrystaatKroon<\/em>, is in talle afdelings as finaliste aangewys.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barnard s\u00ea sy het glad nie verwag om in die digitale afdeling te wen nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk het nog op universiteit joernalistieke eksamens met \u2019n tikmasjien geskryf en weet hoe tippex <\/span>en \u2019n filmkamera werk,\u201d s\u00ea sy oor die eerbewys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWat dalk tot die sukses bydra, is dat ek berigte ingeskryf het met temas wat my na aan die hart l\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVoldoende redaksionele ruimte in plaaslike koerante is \u2019n voortdurende uitdaging. Hier bied digitale joernalistiek juis daardie ruimte vir die beskrywing van \u2019n belewenis, aanhalings, \u2019n bietjie navorsing, wenke vir lesers en heelwat foto\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wat die kompetisie betref, s\u00ea Barnard dit is verblydend dat \u2019n onderneming soos AVBOB hom so met die geskrewe woord bemoei en die waarde van plaaslike koerante besef. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHulle wakker die leeskultuur aan en bied selfs gedigtekompetisies aan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benewens haar bekroning in die digitale afdeling, het Barnard \u2019n gesamentlike derde plek in die afdeling vir joernalis van die jaar behaal. Sy is ook aangewys as finalis in die afdelings vir redaksionele kommentaar, menslikheidstories en nuusfotografie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NoordkaapBulletin<\/em> <\/span>se medewerker, Charn\u00e9 Kemp<\/strong>, is as joernalis van die jaar, asook fotograaf van die jaar, en in die afdelings vir nuusfotografie, menslikheidstories en ondersoekende joernalistiek as finalis benoem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teboho Setena<\/strong>, redakteur van Express<\/em>, is in die afdelings vir sportfotografie en nuusfotografie as finalis benoem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marti Will<\/strong>, redakteur van Vista<\/span><\/em>, is in die sport-afdeling as finalis benoem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twee van Sentraal24 se subredakteurs, Inge Strydom<\/strong> en Shirwan Newton<\/strong>, is in die afdeling vir die skryf van opskrifte as finaliste benoem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Korrespondent, die rubriekskrywer vir Bloemnnuus <\/em><\/span>Erica Pretorius<\/strong>, is in die afdeling vir rubrieke benoem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karen Herbert, groepredakteur vir Sentraal24, s\u00ea Barnard se eerste plek, derde plek en benoemings in soveel ander afdelings is die vrugte wat sy pluk vir volgehoue harde werk.
