Vanjaar se Yonder Hartsfees, van 29 Augustus tot 1 September, bars uit sy nate en die organiseerders moet wikkel om by te bly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die eerste fees is deur sowat 8 000 besoekers bygewoon en die organiseerders was opgewonde oor di\u00e9 aantal mense wat die moeite gedoen het om hiervoor saam te trek. Dit het hulle gemotiveer om weer die volgende jaar \u2019n fees aan te bied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maar Covid-19 het toegeslaan, en die pandemie het langer aangehou as wat almal gedink het. Tog het die organiseerders moed gehou en geglo dat die gety sou draai. Dit het gebeur, en die hoofborge van die fees is oorreed om dit steeds geldelik te ondersteun. Sedertdien is twee feeste aangebied \u2013 met 23 000 besoekers by verlede jaar se fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grootste verhoog in Noord-Kaap<\/div>\n
Vanjaar bied die fees die grootste verhoog tot nog toe in die Noord-Kaap. Die koepel wat oor die verhoog strek, is 10 m hoog, en die verhoog is 18 m x 6 m. Dit is enige kunstenaar se droom om op s\u00f3 \u2019n verhoog op te tree, met w\u00eareldgehalte klank deur AudioQuest.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Geen moeite is ontsien om die beste na Kimberley te bring nie, want inwoners van die stad en omstreke verdien dit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kinderland is \u2019n nuutjie en word as \u2019n permanente speelterrein vir kinders ontwikkel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vanjaar bring die mallemeulepark \u2019n nuwe toevoeging tot die swaaie, en di\u00e9 ruimte is daarvoor vergroot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nog \u2019n interessante toevoeging is Die Plaaskombuis, wat eg tradisionele geregte bedien, soos skaapstertjies, lewer-en-netvet, kaiings en krummelpap, vars gebakte brood en konfyt, roosterkoeke, botter en skaapvet, gebakte eiers en boerewors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit word deur die boere\u00adgemeenskap van Keimoes berei. Elke dag word \u2019n ander potgereg voorgesit, en die braaivleis bly ook \u2019n wenner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deeglike beplanning het plaasgevind om aan die meeste besoekers se verwagtinge te voldoen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00f3 gaan Rocco de Villiers demonstreer hoe om van sy bekende skemerkelkies te berei, \u00e9n hy bring sy klavier saam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alwina van Zyl van Malu Pork deel haar koservaring, en Nicole Neethling van die Kaap bied \u2019n kursus aan oor hoe om eg Indiese geregte voor te berei. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ouers en kinders word vir \u2019n braaikompetisie genooi waar die span uit \u2019n ouer en \u2019n kind, van 12 jaar en jonger, bestaan. Inskryfgeld is R100 per span. \u2019n Braaipak met \u2019n tjop, wors, sosatie, skilpadjie, deeg vir rooster\u00adkoek, speserye en vuurmaakgoed word verskaf, en deelnemers bring slegs \u2019n braaitang.
