Gr. 12 learners of the Tetlanyo High School in Galeshewe say they are nervous, but prepared, for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations that started on Monday, 21 October, and conclude on 27 November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abraham Vosloo, Northern Cape MEC for Education, said last week he was confident the department had done all it could to help learners prepare. He visited the William Pescod High School on Monday to inspect the examination hall and procedures, and he wished learners well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unesisa Shange, Oratile Monnamancho and Richard Darn of the Tetlanyo High School, who also signed a pledge to act honestly during the exams, have big plans for their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unesisa says she is ready, as she has been preparing all these weeks with her classmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to study Archaeology and History. I like finding stuff and treasures. I am also going to do modelling courses. In Gr. 10, I fell in love with History when my teacher explained what had happened in the French Revolution. I just loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oratile says she is nervous, but ready, as she and her classmates have been preparing since the first term started. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe had afternoon classes, and I prepared at home. I\u2019m going to study Law and Social Science at the University of the Free State (UFS). I like to help people and assist against crime. In our country crime is too high, and I would like to help reduce it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Richard\u2019s favourite subject is Mathematics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI really enjoy it and want to become a civil engineer. I want to help build houses, construct buildings and structures. I\u2019m ready for the exams because I\u2019ve been studying very hard to achieve good results.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
