Die SolarButterfly is \u2019n Tesla Model X EV wat \u2019n mobiele huis sleep, wat toegerus is met 40 m\u00b2 sonpanele. \u2019n Reis om die w\u00eareld word met die voertuig onderneem om bewustheid te skep oor die bedreiging van aardverwarming en die belangrikheid om van fossielbrandstowwe na hernubare energiebronne oor te skakel. Die reis oor vier jaar het in Mei 2022 begin, en die beplanning is dat ses kontinente en 90 lande teen Desember 2025 besoek sal wees. Dele van Europa, die Verenigde Koninkryk en die Verenigde State is reeds besoek. In Suid-Afrika het die reis op 9 Februarie in Kaapstad begin, en talle bestemmings word besoek voordat dit op 10 Maart in Durban eindig.
