So s\u00ea Michael Hetzel van Bloemfontein wat Woensdag 3 Mei ‘n splinternuwe Toyota Hilux 2.8-bakkie in ‘n nasionale kompetisie van Checkers Hyper in ontvangs geneem het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael, bestuurder by Leopards & Lace in die stad, s\u00ea dit was ‘n gawe “so uit die Here se hand.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael is bekend daarvoor dat hy ‘n groot hart vir liefdadigheid het en dit geniet dat gaste wat funksies hier bywoon, spesiaal voel. Di\u00e9 keer was dit so bestem dat hy bederf word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael vertel toe hy ‘n oproep kry om vir hom mee te deel dat hy ‘n bakkie gewen het, was hy maar erg skepties. “As vreemde mense bel en vir jou vrae begin vra, sit ‘n mens mos maar die foon neer. Maar iets binne my het gemaak dat ek luister. Die vrou het gevra of ek op 27 April inkopies gedoen het by Checkers Hyper in die Fleurdal Mall.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael s\u00ea hy en sy vrou, Elrita, het die vakansiedag op 27 April saam ‘n afdaggie gehad en hulle het besluit om te gaan inkopies doen. “Dit is baie min dat ons so iets saam doen.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Op 11 Mei het ek die oproep ontvang en dit is opgevolg deur ‘n e-pos van Checkers Hyper wat bevestig het dat hy die Toyota Hilux gewen het, maar steeds was daar ongeloof dat hy iets kon ontvang sonder dat hy vir ‘n kompetisie ingeskryf het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Op 18 Mei het mense hom laat weet dat hy as wenner aangekondig is op Checkers Hyper se Facebookblad. “Ek was op daardie oomblik in ‘n Checkers-winkel en het die bestuurder gevra of hy iets weet. Hy het ‘n oproep gemaak en bevestig dat ek wel die kompetisie gewen het. Ek het gebewe soos ‘n riet toe ek besef dat ek regtig so ‘n groot prys gewen het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Daar is eenvoudig nie genoeg woorde om my dankbaarheid te beskryf nie. Hierdie is vir my veel meer as net ‘n voertuig. Dit is ‘n herinnering dat ons Here steeds verras, steeds voorsien en steeds sy kinders se paaie met genade bewandel,” skryf Michael op sy Facebookblad<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personeel van Checkers Hyper het hom en Elrita vandeesweek na Checkers Hyper genooi waar die motor aan Michael oorhandig is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helen Namponya, Shoprite Checkers se skakelbeampte in die Vrystaat, Noord-Kaap en Lesotho s\u00ea die kompetisie het gestrek van 27 April tot 10 Mei. Almal wat meer as R500 spandeer het in een transaksie en hul Extra Savings of Xtra Savings Plus-kaarte gebruik het, het vir die kompetisie gekwalifiseer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
