Gevolglik sit Galeshewe-hofsake ook in die Kimberley-gebou se hofsale, en moet hofgangers uit Galeshewe na Kimberley vir hofsake reis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dis in teenstelling met die opening van die Galeshewe-hofgebou in 2011 toe Jeff Radebe, destydse minister van justisie, op &#8216;n yskoue winterdag gespog het dat mense uit Galeshewe nie meer na Kimberley hoef te reis vir hofverrigtinge nie. Die Galeshewe-hofgebou is opgerig om die druk op die Kimberley-landdroshof te verlig en om regsdienste nader aan die gemeenskap te bring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rioolwater-oorstroom-kantore-met-matte\">Rioolwater oorstroom kantore met matte<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vandeesweek was daar volgens ingeligtes aanvanklik geen watertoevoer na toilette en wasbakke nie. Toe dit herstel is, het die onderste toilette wat die polisielede gebruik met riool begin oorstroom en &#8216;n vloed veroorsaak wat tot in hul kantore met matte gestroom het. Daar is nie eens meer &#8216;n toiletsitplek vir vroue nie, en ons moet smeek om toiletpapier te kry. Etlike lede het al infeksies opgedoen of siek afgebly van die werk weens die probleme. Ons word slegter as honde behandel,\u201d s\u00ea di\u00e9 lid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die lid voeg by dat toe die rioolvuil vroe\u00ebr vandeesweek oral begin uitborrel het, het hulle geweier om die gevangenes vir hofverskynings te gaan haal, waarna die departement van justisie hulle beveel het om dit te doen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-gevangene-gly-en-val-in-rioolvuil\">Gevangene gly en val in rioolvuil<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinsdag is die gevangenes ingebring, en was hulle verplig om in die enkeldiep rioolvuil te loop. \u00a0In &#8216;n video kan gesien word hoe\u00a0versigtig die gevangenes trap, maar een gly en val wel in die vuil water, waarna hy die res van die dag met sy besmette klere moes loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daar is groot kommer oor die moontlike vernietiging van belangrike hofdokumente, dossiere en elektroniese infrastruktuur wat weens die besoedelding en waterskade beskadig of onklaar kan raak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Geen aangehoudenes is Woensdag na die landdroshofgebou gebring nie, waar skoonmaakwerk plaasgevind het. Alle eerste verskynings van aangeklaagdes is na die hooggeregshof verskuif, terwyl ander aangehoudenes in gevangenissentrums virtueel verskyn het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LEES OOK: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/noordkaapbulletin\/burden-grows-of-closure-of-galeshewes-court-building\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Burden grows of closure of Galeshewe\u2019s court building<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die riool-probleme volg nadat polisielede al in Februarie oor die onaanvaarbare toestande gekla het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Media-navrae is toe onder meer aan James de Villiers, kommunikasiehoof van Dean Macpherson, minister van <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicworks.gov.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">openbare werke en infrastruktuur<\/a>, oor die probleme gestuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sy antwoord toe was: \u201cDaar is geen verstopte dreine by die aanhoudingselle nie, en die ablusiegeriewe is in werkende toestand. Die sanitasiestelsel is operasioneel. Daar is geen skadelike of onaangename reuk in die gebou of na die administratiewe gedeeltes van die hof versprei nie. Ons skoonmaakdienste-eenheid maak die gebou op \u2019n daaglikse basis skoon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoewel die departement van arbeid ondersoek ingestel en skoonmaakwerk gevolg het, is die oorsaak skynbaar nie opgelos nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Villiers het onderneem om met amptenare te raadpleeg voordat\u00a0hy verdere kommentaar lewer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kommer-oor-gesondheidsgevare-amptelik-uitgespreek\">Kommer oor gesondheidsgevare amptelik uitgespreek<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Brig. Mashay Gamieldien, Noord-Kaapse polisiewoordvoerder, het in \u2019n amptelike verklaring hul kommer oor die gesondheids- en veiligheidstoestande by die hof bevestig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDie veiligheid, gesondheid en welstand van SAPD-lede, aangehoudenes en alle belanghebbendes binne die strafregstelsel bly &#8216;n prioriteit. Ons evalueer deurlopend operasionele omgewings om te verseker ons pligte word in ooreenstemming met toepaslike beroepsgesondheids- en veiligheidsvereistes uitgevoer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDie toestande kan die veilige uitvoering van pligte deur SAPD-lede, aangehoudenes en ander hofgebruikers be\u00efnvloed. Dit moet voldoen aan grondwetlike en wetgewende vereistes, terwyl die veiligheid en sekuriteit van aangehoudenes, polisielede, hofbeamptes en lede van die publiek gehandhaaf word.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die polisie skakel voortdurend binne die Ge\u00efntegreerde Regstelsel en die plaaslike Strafregstelsel-groepering om die impak van die infrastruktuuruitdagings op dienslewering en toegang tot geregtigheid te versag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die departement van openbare werke, asook justisie en arbeid, is tot Vrydag 5 Junie gegee om formeel op die probleme te
