Erfenisdag wat Woensdag 24 September gevier word, gaan vanjaar ekstra spesiaal wees met ‘n standbeeld van Paul Kruger wat sy tog na Orania begin en Steve Hofmeyr wat gratis optree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die jaarlikse feesviering by die Voortrekkermonument in Pretoria gaan vanjaar met feestelike boeremusiek en Volkspele by die Voortrekkermonument gevier word en duisende besoekers lok<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Om die herdenking van Paul Kruger se 200ste verjaardag te vier word ‘n standbeeld van hom op die dorpsplein op Orania opgerig. Hier is ‘n grafiese voorstelling van hoe dit gaan lyk.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dit gaan vanjaar vir seker \u2019n dag vir die geskiedenisboeke wees. Op 24 September word die perde opgesaal, die kanonne gelaai en die pluiskuile afgestof vir \u2019n presidensi\u00eble makietie soos min om die 200ste herdenking van Paul Kruger se geboorte in 1825 af te skop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Dawid Brand, bedryfshoof: media, bemarking en toerisme van die Kultuurtuiste, word geen moeite ontsien om di\u00e9 openbare vakansiedag onvergeetlik te maak nie. \u201cDit is sekerlik een van die grootste jare vir \u00f3ns geslag. Afrikaans 100, GRA 150 en nou Kruger 200<\/a>. Ons gaan nooit weer die geleentheid h\u00ea om geskiedkundige geleenthede soos di\u00e9 in een jaar te gedenk nie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Brand is die dag se program<\/a> s\u00f3 saamgestel om iets vir die hele gesin te bied en die Afrikanergemeenskap saam te snoer. \u201cDie Kruger 200-makietie is \u2019n samevloeiing van die statigheid wat \u2019n president betaam en \u2019n eietydse speelsheid. Boeremusiek en Volkspele sal oudergewoonte deel van die program wees, maar die aanbod is groter as ooit: 200 stalletjies, tientalle historiese kanonne wat afgevuur gaan word, \u2019n besonderse Kruger-toneelstuk, die brons Kruger-standbeeld wat na Orania vertrek, en nog vele meer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vir die kleinspan begin die dag met \u2019n Kruger-kleurloop (\u201ccolour run\u201d), Kruger-skattejag en \u2019n inkleurkompetisie. Optredes deur die Kierang-buikspraakpoppe, Tant Toeta kom gooi \u2019n draai<\/em> en Kierang kom skinder oor Oom Paul se tweeling<\/em>, gaan oud en jonk met humor en nostalgie vermaak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVoeg hierby ponieritte, stokbrood maak, kameelritte, trapkarretjies, \u2019n treintjie, \u2018Bungee\u2019-trampolien, kettieskiet, gesigverf, \u2019n springkasteel en selfs honde-, perde- en brandweerdemonstrasies, en jy\u2019t \u2019n wenresep wat die kleinspan heeldag besig sal hou.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terwyl die jongspan speel, kan die volwassenes die monument verken, Tant Gezina se teetuin en mark in die Liedjietuin besoek, die Voortrekkers se opedag meemaak, by die stalletjies snuffel of die Kruger-toneelstuk in die Voortrekkersaal bywoon. Die Kruger-sterftekamer in die Kruger-galery en Kruger-wisseluitstalling in die Senotaafsaal is beslis \u2019n besoek werd. Pa kan hom op sy beurt verkyk aan die veteraanmotors van die Pretoria Old Motor Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNadat die presidentspaar per koets arriveer, is \u2019n kleurvolle ZAR-kolwyntjiekoek, koffie en Kruger-knertsies op die spyskaart, gevolg deur \u2019n \u2018staatsrede\u2019 en afvuur van voorlaaiers en kanonne \u2013 in die kleure van die Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek,\u201d s\u00ea Brand.\u2019n Spesiale groeteboodskap deur dr. Danie Langner vorm deel van die middagprogram voordat die Kruger-ewebeeld op reis na Orania vertrek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie hoogtepunt van die dag is \u2019n optrede deur Steve Hofmeyr vir \u2019n skamele R20. Ons word te midde van die promotor-polemiek oorval deur navrae van mense wat wonder of dit nie \u2019n slenter is, \u00f3f dat die optrede gekanselleer gaan word nie. Beslis nie! Algemene toegang tot die partytjie kos R20 en kaartjies tot die presidensi\u00eble kring en ander aktiwiteite kan ook hier<\/a> gekoop word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e1 24 September word die viering van Kruger 200 voortgesit met besoeke aan verskeie dorpe tussen Pretoria en Orania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die groep met die standbeeld van Paul Kruger toer stop van daar op Rustenburg (25 September), Potchefstroom (26 September), Heidelberg (27 September), Parys (28 September), Vereeniging (Maandag 29 September) met ‘n program die middag in Parys, Vegkop by Heilbron op 30 September, Bloemfontein Woensdag 1 Oktober by die Vrouemonument en die middag in Kimberley voor dat dit op 3 Oktober in Orania aankom en op Vrydag 10 Oktober amptelik onthul word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
