Ngqeleni police detectives arrested two suspects who allegedly
\nkilled a 62-year-old woman at Nkanti location Detyana A\/A on Saturday
\nJuly 31 at about 19:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a report by Sergeant Kaya Matola-Mvanyashe, police spokesperson, circumstances
\nsuggest the deceased was inside the premises of Mbotho shop, when she was
\nassaulted by a 29-year-old suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe shop owner
\nintervened and that is when the second male suspect, aged 28, came and fatally
\nstabbed the deceased three times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhile the suspects were busy stabbing the woman, they were
\ncalling her a witch,\u201d Matola-Mvanyashe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased sustained stab wounds in her upper body and
\nsuccumbed to her injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects fled the scene after the incident but were later
\narrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were expected to appear before Ngqeleni Magistrate\u2019s Court yesterday, August 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
