Nkosivumile Saphepha (50), from Matyengqina location in Mthatha, is living a miserable life as he is suffering from a skin problem which has resulted in him being isolated from some of the people in his community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He uses walking sticks due to his condition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking to Express<\/span>, Saphepha said this problem started in 1983, while he was working as a builder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He said the situation forced him to stay at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As a result, he does not have his own home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhen this thing started, I felt as If I was stabbed by needles below my feet, now my skin is peeling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow I am staying at home and there are few people who manage to visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSome of the people call me names and its painful because I am sick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI went hospital several times; they keep on giving an ointment which helps me for a short time. When it is finished the situation starst again,\u201d said Saphepha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He said his wish was to go to a private doctor but cannot afford to do so. He added that it was not easy for him to use public transport due to his situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n When he goes to hospital, he is forced to hire a car because he cannot travel by taxi. \u201cMy situation is very painful.
