{"id":50614,"date":"2021-11-25T10:49:55","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T08:49:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/mthathaexpress\/butterworth-vocalist-releases-gqom-ep-20211123\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T20:32:18","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T18:32:18","slug":"butterworth-vocalist-releases-gqom-ep-20211123","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/mthathaexpress\/butterworth-vocalist-releases-gqom-ep-20211123\/","title":{"rendered":"Butterworth vocalist releases gqom EP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Vocalist and music composer, Samora, has gifted her music fans with dance tunes for the festive season, following the release of her seven-track gqom music EP, titled <span>The Rise of Samora<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born Anathi Tase, from Bawa village in Butterworth, Samora burst onto the music scene when she was featured as a vocalist in an afro-pop track, titled <span>Mama,<\/span> by Bra Cee in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has since then featured on several afro-pop singles but says gqom music has always been her musical calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI always wanted to evolve from being known as an afro-pop vocalist to being a gqom artist because I consider the latter my calling in music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe evolution was just delayed by not having found the right music producers to work with when I started in music,\u201d Samora added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samora\u2019s EP features several up-and-coming artists, such as Style, London, Luda, Rude and Ndira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EP is available for download and streaming on many platforms including YouTube and Audiomack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A link to download the project is also available on Samora\u2019s Facebook page Samora-Vocalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samora is signed to S.A.M.
