The members of the Qina Mfelokazi Widow\u2019s Development Organisation from Mthatha showed support for the Khozana family, in Dumasi location in Ngqeleni, by donating groceries and paint, last week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This followed after their house was destroyed by a mysterious fire in July this year. Both parents passed away in different incidents, leaving three (now adult) children behind. According to one of the neighbours, Thenjiwe Nongwe, the mother passed away in 2012 and the father passed away last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese children never received counselling after these incidents happened. They need all the support they can get,\u201d said Nongwe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inga Khozana (25) said on the morning of the incident (when the fire occurred), her older sister saw that the gate of the kraal was open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While they were still investigating, they saw that her bedroom was on fire. Inga confirmed that five sheep were stolen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe fire started in her bedroom but it ended up burning down the whole house. Now we are sharing a two-roomed house. It is painful and frustrating because we used to have our own space but now the situation had changed for us,\u201d said Inga. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the family members, Simphiwe Khozana, said they were happy to see the love and support the family was being given. He said even though they are the family members but they do need support from other people who might be willing to assist them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEven now, we don\u2019t know what started this mysterious fire. We are trying by all means to give them the support they need. But we would be happy if they could get counselling because they need it,\u201d said Khozana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
