The founder of Gwiba Lesizwe Foundation, Mbuyi Kasana, has announced that the organisation would be visiting three schools in Port St Johns, where they would be educating parents and learners about how to take care of their teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The primary schools which would benefit from this programme were Ngxongweni, JongiMpuma and Qhubuswayo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event would be held on March 23, 2022. Kasana said they would be hosting Bring a Smile, as part of the back to school campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Kasana, in order to ensure that this programme is successful, she had the support of Operation Smile South Africa, Rise Black Girl Child Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe would be working together with the Revival Mission Centre, where we will be hosting this event. Our aim is to bring a smile to the black child. We want to make a change to them so that they could know that they are also important,\u201d said Kasana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said they first went to Port St Johns to investigate and found that there were many children who were victims of rape in that area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also revealed that they would also donate school shoes and they were targeting 100 learners from these schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also promised to donate toiletries to 200 learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kasana also added that, after this visit, they would host a similar event at Qhatywa Primary School and Ganizulu Senior Secondary School in Elliotdale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
