traditional leader Matanzima dies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Respected traditional leader Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima of Western Tembu clan has died after a long illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news of Matanzima\u2019s passing was confirmed in a statement issued by the Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders (ECHTL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matanzima died earlier this morning, February 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was the founding member of the ECHTL and also served as its chairperson for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also served as the Eastern Cape chairperson of the Moral Regeneration Movement, a position he held until his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral arrangements were not yet confirmed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Respected traditional leader Nkosi
