Mawande Mditshwa, who is a soccer coach from St John\u2019s College in Mthatha, is among the top coaches from various countries across the globe who attended a coaching clinic in the United States of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pride of sport development at schools Football EC, Mditshwa left Mthatha on April 27, and he was escorted by a motorcade to Mthatha Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the day, students came out in their numbers to congratulate their teacher for his sterling job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will be in Chicago, Detroit, and Seattle in America for 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will also visit the University of Washington for leadership training and University of Portland for the Character project and is expected to land in the Eastern Cape on May 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The coaches from various countries are doing development coaching and instructing and are conducted by Social Exchange and Opportunity in South Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mditshwa said the plan of the coaching clinic in America is to develop EC school football and coaches across the globe. Mditshwa has been a soccer coach in St John\u2019s College for 12 years now coaching the school soccer team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He told Mthatha Express<\/span> that school sport plays a vital role in sharpening students\u2019 minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mditshwa added that he would be very happy if the Department of Education could increase sports time in schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt could be much better if they can play sport two days a week,\u201d said Mditshwa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Mawande
