{"id":48785,"date":"2022-09-01T10:12:33","date_gmt":"2022-09-01T08:12:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/mthathaexpress\/trailblazer-pk-remembered-at-his-funeral-20220830\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T23:14:22","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T21:14:22","slug":"trailblazer-pk-remembered-at-his-funeral-20220830","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/mthathaexpress\/trailblazer-pk-remembered-at-his-funeral-20220830\/","title":{"rendered":"Trailblazer \u2018PK\u2019 remembered at his funeral"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mthatha businessman, Zwelinzima \u2018PK\u2019 Dweba, has been described as a trailblazer, a role model, an organic intellectual and a warm and loving person, during his emotional and yet elegant funeral held at Mthatha Stadium on August 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dweba was gunned down in the driveway of his home in Southernwood, Mthatha, on August 13, at the age of 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among several businesses PK owned in Mthatha were the popular So What Lounge in Vulindlela Heights, Highness Lounge at the Old Savoy Building, Soul Fire Shuttle service and a security services business. He also hosted some of the most popular and prestigious annual events which brought well-known names in the entertainment industry to Mthatha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPK had this special ability to make enemies reconcile, make the poor share the table with the rich and was powerful in this area. He also ventured into the transport sector with cabs and into security services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, PK created employment for hundreds of people across his businesses and supported multitudes of up-and-coming DJs and local businesses through his businesses as his empire grew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his mother, Zanele, brother Sizwe, sisters Nontobeko and Manesi and his
