Education Department spokesperson,
\nMalibongwe Mtima ?has confirmed
\nthat an educator who allegedly forced boy learners to commit
\nsexual acts has been suspended from Mdingi Primary School in Lusikisiki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, we know about this incident, as the Department of
\nEducation our first point of action was to get a report from the school. We
\nthen conducted a preliminary investigation and suspended the educator,\u201d said
\nMtima. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that they also arranged psycho-social
\nsupport and counselling for learners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the parents confirmed that they marched to the
\nschool in an effort to ask the teacher to leave the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said the teacher targeted learners
\nbetween the ages of 13 to 16. She said she
\nwas shocked when her son (14) told her about this incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe told me that this educator called him to his cottage
\nwhere he stays. When he arrived?, he asked him
\nto commit a sexual act while watching pornography on a laptop,\u201d
\nshe said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another parent who also wanted to remain anonymous said
\nthey were aware of this situation. She said they used to see learners sitting
\nwith this teacher sometimes in his cottage?. As parents?, they did not
\nnotice anything until one of the learners informed the school principal about
\nthis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are still shocked about this but as we speak now, we
\nare having a meeting here at school,\u201d said this parent. According
\nto her, when this educator was asked about th?ese ?incidents, he said he
\nwas teaching the learners about life orientation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police spokesperson,
\nWarrant Officer Majola Nkohli confirmed that Family Violence, Child Protection
\nand Sexual Offences Unit was
\ninvestigating two counts of sexual assault. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis comes after two children alleged that their
\neducator sexually assaulted them between February and October this year. A
