\njoint operation by South African Police Service tactical response team (TRT),
\nPublic Order Policing (POP) and organised crime yielded positive results
\nfollowing the arrest of four suspects for possession of unlicensed firearms and
\nammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police
\nsaid that the arrests of the four, at Qutubeni Administrative Area in Ngcobo, are
\npart of their ongoing efforts to rid communities of crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The
\narrests were made on Sunday, November 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPolice officers quickly responded to information on suspects believed to be from Cape Town who had attended a funeral and had suspected illegal firearms. Subsequently, four suspects aged between 20 and 22 were arrested, and two firearms arms and live ammunition were recovered,\u201d said police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mdleleni
\nadded that the suspects will appear before Ngcobo Magistrate Court soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
