{"id":47862,"date":"2023-02-22T11:53:24","date_gmt":"2023-02-22T09:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/mthathaexpress\/eastern-cape-police-launch-manhunt-for-three-cash-in-transit-suspects-20230222\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T00:22:25","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T22:22:25","slug":"eastern-cape-police-launch-manhunt-for-three-cash-in-transit-suspects-20230222","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/mthathaexpress\/eastern-cape-police-launch-manhunt-for-three-cash-in-transit-suspects-20230222\/","title":{"rendered":"Eastern Cape police launch manhunt for three cash-in-transit  suspects"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The East London-based Hawk\u2019s Serious Organised Crime Investigation is seeking the public\u2019s assistance in locating three suspects in connection with cash-in-transit robberies that have been taking place in the province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Eastern Cape Hawks spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, the three suspects have been identified as Thandile Mwahla (41), Thandile Sitwayi (41) and Sibongiseni Mbhele (43).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMwahla is believed to be well known in Port St Johns, Sitwayi in East London, Gqeberha and Mthatha, while Mbhele is well known in Butterworth and Mthatha,\u201d said Mgolodela.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnyone who might know their whereabouts can contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Thamsanqa Mlumbi, on 071 481 3009\/043 709 0623; alternatively contact the nearest police station. The Crime Stop number 08600 10111 can also be contacted or message 32211. Information received will be treated as confidential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mgolodela added that the public is requested not to approach the suspects on their own as they are deemed
