Another young person in the Eastern Cape has allegedly been kidnapped early this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to various reports the 24-year-old Hilton Wicks from Nqanqarhu (Maclear) in the Eastern Cape was allegedly abducted near his home today, March 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wicks is the son of a prominent Eastern Cape businessman from Maclear. He was also the head boy of Kingswood College in Makhanda in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eastern Cape Hawks spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, confirmed the kidnapping to the Express.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are investigating the case,\u201d she confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about the rumour of ransom demands that have been made for the release of the victim, she said: \u201cFor the benefit of the victim and the family, we cannot divulge that information. We are lying low. But we are involved in the investigation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This comes just after a young biokineticist from Gqeberha, Riana Pretorius (26) was safely returned to her family<\/strong><\/a> during the early hours of this morning. She was kidnapped outside her work<\/strong><\/a> in Newton Park on March 16 and a ransom demand of R2 million was made shortly after her kidnapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
