The complainant was treated for a shoulder fracture.<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that the complainant was visited by a woman (82), who was known to her, and who offered to assist the victim in lodging a claim with the Road Accident Fund (RAF) through attorneys based in Mthatha.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mhlakuvana said it was further reported that a meeting occurred with the attorneys, and that a claim against the RAF was lodged for the complainant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Blockquote\" data-pos=\"Middle\" id=\"embed_4dd140ab\">\n<div class=\"text\">The allegations further revealed that after a few months, the complainant was never notified of a payout from the RAF. The complainant enquired from the attorneys (about the payout) and was informed that they had already paid R255 000 into her bank account. However, the claimant allegedly informed the attorneys that she never received such an amount and that it was not her bank account. The attorneys then advised the victim to report the matter to the police for investigation, and she did. <\/div>\n<div class=\"citation\">Warrant officer, Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"8knp4-0-0\">\n<p>\u201cThe matter was referred to Priority Crime Serious Investigation (PSCI) of the Hawks, which, with the Asset Forfeiture Unit of the National Prosecution Authority (NPA), led to the granting of the forfeiture order on 26 September 2023.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div 'helvetica=\"\"
