An award winner and former radio presenter from Sajonisi Youth Radio (SYR) in Port St Johns, Ntsikelelo Matandabuzo, known as Ntsido, was described as someone who was very dedicated to his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matandabuzo passed away recently after a short illness, and was laid to rest at his home in C section at Jambeni Locality in Lusikisiki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides being a radio presenter, he was also a gospel artist and founder of the Khuzeka annual event hosted every December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among his albums, he released Akaxakwa<\/span>uThixo<\/span>, and this was an album which opened doors for him; he also won an award from Mpumakoloni International Gospel Music Awards (MKIGMA), hosted in Gqeberha in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He also released an EP with the most favoured track, Safika Limahala Ivangeli<\/span>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the Programme Manager for Sajonisi Youth Radio (SYR), Mjabuliseni Mzimela, Matandabuzo was not only a presenter, but he also managed to start a new programme called Khuzeka that was hosted annually in Port St Johns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The aim of this programme was to educate young people about the danger of using alcohol and drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was an annual event and was hosted on December 16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He was someone who was very dedicated and always showed respect to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMatandabuzo hosted different shows, like Kuya Bonelelwa<\/span>, which was starting at 04:00 to 06:00 on weekdays; Umkhumbi <\/span>ka Nowa<\/span> from 06:00 to 08:00, then Iingelosi Zezulu <\/span>from 08:00 to 09:00 (Sunday school programme),\u201d said Mzimela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He confirmed that Matandabuzo joined SYR in 2017 as a radio presenter. He then left the station in August this year to join Unitra Community Radio (UCR FM). <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEven though he was no longer working with us, we were still colleagues and we will miss him
