FLAGSTAFF Galaxy FC has progressed to the regional decider after being crowned champions of coastal stream of OR Tambo Hollywoodbets League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Flagstaff Galaxy finished the league with 22 points, followed by PSG Amabhaca with 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In their last match, on Sunday, Flagstaff Galaxy defeated Pondo Chiefs FC by one goal to nil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the second time in a row that Flagstaff Galaxy progress to the regional decider. Last season they went to the regional decider against WSU Mthatha Campus FC, but lost 1\u20130.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Flagstaff Galaxy FC chairperson, Mpumzi Mphemeleli Mketi, said winning the coastal stream for the second time in a row means a lot to them as team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWinning the coastal stream for the second time means a lot, but we cannot celebrate now; we will celebrate at the right time because we will have to focus on preparations for the decider match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe boys will be off for about a week and then return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe won the coastal stream last season and became runners up in OR Tambo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinishing number one again this season, we are the first club in Flagstaff winning back-to-back. In the coastal stream we are the second or third to win back-to-back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWriting history is very important, but not as important as going to the next stage of the league, which is playing the decider,\u201d said Mketi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur desire is to get the promotion that is our primary objective as of now,\u201d said the chairperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be bit difficult to prepare for the decider, because the inland stream is still playing and are still in the first leg of the league.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mketi said that they are going to play friendly matches to keep their players fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
