To further strengthen the twinning agreement the Eastern Cape Government has with the State of Lower Saxony, a German delegation visit led by the Ministry of Interior and Sport landed at the King Phalo Airport in the Buffalo City Metro for their four-day visit in the province recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This partnership is largely focusing on the International Voluntary Service sports exchange programmes between the Landessportbund Niedersachsen, where teams, coaches and team officials exchange different techniques and opinions on how to improve competing with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The German delegation also visited Gqeberha where Lord Mayor Doctor Thorsten Kornblum of Braunschweig City and Councillor Gary Van Niekerk of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro signed a trade exchange between the City of Braunschweig in Lower Saxony, Germany and Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This unison between these cities, birthed by a long-standing cooperation between the Eastern Cape Government and the Government of the German Federal State of Lower Saxony, will benefit and focus on Trade & Investment, Safety and Security, and Sport. Lord Mayor Thorsten Kornblum of Braunschweig City said the deal is an important instrument for international understanding in our globalised world. \u201cIt is an opportunity for us to learn from each other and overcome challenges together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
