Tambo Dance and Drama Festival on 24 January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artists from across all five local municipalities of the district took part in the festivities, which included traditional and contemporary dance performances, drama, music and poetry.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curating the festival through his company Khanyiso Social Enterprise, legendary South African playwright and award-winning performer Billy Dakada told the Express that he was excited to launch this colourful event.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This festival was the first of its kind in the area. We crafted it with the specific aim of promoting tourism, creating jobs and empowering the youth through the creative industries, making it a game-changer for Mthatha.
