use the N2 via Kokstad and Port Shepstone instead, as service delivery protests between Bizana and Mzamba at Msizazwe persist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eastern Cape Department of Transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose said the road remains closed\u00a0because protesters have barricaded\u00a0the road with\u00a0rocks\u00a0and burning\u00a0tyres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said\u00a0that\u00a0the crux of their protest is a demand for electricity in their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Traffic Officers have been deployed to various roads to divert traffic towards Port Shepstone to go through Mpunzi\u00a0Drift, turning at\u00a0PetroSA\u00a0filling station\u00a0near Redoubt,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Public order police are\u00a0on the scene to disperse protesters and\u00a0to\u00a0have the road
