President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Mthatha today, June 13, where he visited the Effata Bridge where a bus carrying 13 learners was swept away by flood water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit by Ramaphosa follows the June 10 heavy rains and strong winds that killed over 70 people and destroyed property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ramaphosa’s entourage includes Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube, Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
