A worship singer from Butterworth Christian Centre (BCC) in Butterworth, Gcinikhaya Jele, will host Imvuselelo Concert 2024 with the aim of restoring hope to those who are hopeless, on August 31.
He said that this will be the third concert, and will be held at Butterworth Christian Centre Cinema Building Extension 6, in Butterworth.
According to Jele, he will be hosting this revival for the fourth time.
Jele confirmed that they had spoken with gospel artists from Gauteng, and some who will be coming from Eastern Cape.
“Our intention is to open opportunities to young people to ensure that they use this opportunity to make their talents shine. We are giving them this opportunity to take part in this concert; it also helps them to stay away from drugs and alcohol that destroy their future. After the COVID-19 Pandemic we were lazy to do anything; that is why I decided to come up with this idea, that we must have this revival. It helps a lot in bringing unity between us as Christians,” said Jele.
He said their aim is also to reach surrounding schools with words of encouragement, and donate sanitary towels or shoes. He added that they would also engage with the municipality in terms of joining forces to fight crime, as well as cleaning the town.
