A gospel singer from Colosa locality in Dutywa, Nothemba Nkala, has confirmed that she has been nominated in the South African Gospel Recognition Awards (SAGRA) as a rising star. This event will be held at Guild Theatre in East London on November 16, from 18:00 to 20:00.
She said she was nominated for her single titled Ukuba Wena Wawu Ngenathi, which was released last month.
“When I received a call stating that I had been nominated, I was very excited and grateful to God because I did not expect this to happen. This nomination gave me the power to continue ministering the word of God using my voice,” said Nkala.
Talking about her single, she confirmed that it was her first song. She said she had previously released an album titled Ulihlathi Lethu Thixo, which consisted of 10 songs, but it did not do well. “I then decided to release a single, which will be followed by another one after the awards.”
She urged her supporters who would like to vote for her to SMS SAGRA07 to 344232. SMS costs R2, and supporters are allowed to vote as many times as they want. Free SMSs are not accepted.
