THINGS are getting tougher in the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League, Stream B, as all the teams are now left with two matches before the end of the season – and it is not clear who is going to be relegated or win the promotion play-offs spot.
On February 25, FC Jacaranda was left frustrated after failing to collect maximum points when playing a 2–2 draw against Amaxesibe FC at their Mthatha Stadium home ground. On the other side, Bizana Pondo Chiefs FC, who are at the bottom of Stream B, played to a 1–1 draw against Hanley FC.
On March 4 there will be a battle of the relegation zone as FC Jacaranda welcome Bizana Pondo Chiefs FC at Mthatha Stadium.
Currently, FC Jacaranda is in second-last position with nine points, while Pondo Chiefs FC is on the bottom rung with seven points.
For FC Jacaranda to retain their spot for next season, they need to beat Pondo Chiefs FC, to be safe.
At the top of the Stream B table it’s also not clear who will win, as Bush Pirates FC from Addo is closing the gap between them and leaders FC Siyanda.
On February 25, Bush Pirates FC shocked everyone after defeating FC Siyanda 2–1.
As things stand, FC Siyanda is in the top position with 29 points, Bush Pirates is in second place with 27 points and Peace Makers FC is in third spot with 25 points.
March 4 Stream B Fixture:
