The body of a missing school principal Richman Hlubi Ntintili (54) has been found with gunshot wounds. 

Police have confirmed that the initial missing person’s inquiry docket was changed to a case of murder after Ntintili’s body was found near Mtsila River on Saturday, September 30.

Ntintili was the Principal at Buhlunyanga Senior Secondary School in Lusikisiki. 

According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, his vehicle was also found abandoned in Flagstaff.

“At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown. Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) to contact the nearest police station. The information may also be shared via Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” said Nkohli.

Eastern Cape Department of Education spokesperson, Mali Mtima confirmed that the deceased was the Buhlanyanga Senior Secondary School principal in Lusikisiki. 

“The MEC for Education, Fundile Gade, and the Education Sector send their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. We are working with the police to resolve this matter. We want to urge everyone with information to work with the police so that the criminals who caused this can face the law,” said Mtima.
