Umhlobo Wenene FM presenter, and director of Zintle Mbusi Foundation, Zintle Mbusi, will host a sanitary towel drive, with the aim of helping girls from different schools in Mthatha and its surroundings from 6:00 to 9:00, on September 30, 2023.

She said that in order to fulfil her plan she will host an Aerobics and Fitness Marathon Sanitary Towels Drive at Umtata Health Club on September 30, where participants will donate a pack (or more) of sanitary towels.

Mbusi said that they will not pay money; instead each person will come with a pack;, others who are also willing to donate can drop their packs at Unitra Community Radio (UCR).

According to her, this initiative will also be accompanied by a Dadethu event, where they will be hosting a Women Empowerment Seminar at Inkandla Lifestyle in Mthatha on the same day starting from 10:00.

“In the seminar we will be sharing and motivating each other as women, as we know that we are facing different challenges. We want women to help each other and be there for each other when there is a need,” said Mbusi.

Mbusi confirmed that in this seminar there will be different motivators who will equip women experiencing different problems. She said that after the event, there will be music entertainment from well-known musicians.

“We also invited young girls to be part of this event so that when they grow up, they know how to love each other.”

She said tickets for the Dadethu event are sold at Pick n Pay, and those who want to buy them online gan go to www.webtickets.co.za. Tickets are sold at R500 single and double is R900.
