Police are investigating a case of murder after a man (40) was allegedly shot near Park Court Flats in Mthatha on September 14, 2022.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana said that the incident took place at about 13:50.
“According to police reports, the deceased is believed to be a local taxi owner in Mthatha, affiliated to one of the taxi associations. He was allegedly shot by two unknown males. He sustained gun shot wounds in the upper body,” said Kinana.
He added that no arrests had been made yet.
“The motive for the shooting is still not clear at this stage, however, a murder case is under investigation.”
