Police are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the suspects allegedly involved in the murder of one male and the attempted murder of three other men.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Nkohli Majola, the incident took place last week.
“Two unknown men clad in balaclavas allegedly opened fire at a Toyota Hilux bakkie travelling with six occupants near Gxididi locality in Ngqeleni, last week. The 52-year-old bakkie driver was fatally wounded, while three passengers sustained gunshot wounds,” said Nkohli.
The two suspects fled with the victim’s bakkie.
“Circumstances surrounding the incident are forming part of the investigation. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects can contact the nearest police station. Information may also be shared via Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”
