The Linda Dweba Public Library in Ngqeleni and Qingqingcwele Bible College have partnered with the aim of bringing change to young children from Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, according to librarian, Abongile Madikizela.
Madikizela added that to fulfil their plan, they hosted an outreach at Ngqeleni, where they educated children from Dalukhanyo Pre-School about Christian values.
“Our intention is to bring back Christian values to our children, so that they could learn about God while they are still young.
“There were 23 children from this ECD who attended this initiative. We believe that this is the best foundation for them,” said Madikizela.
According to him, their intention is to give these young ones a good foundation, so that when they grow up they will know the difference between wrong and right.
He said that it was their first time hosting this initiative, and they hope that it is going to happen all the time.
According to Madikizela, they also added teenagers to this programme, so that they could be able to talk with them about challenges that affect them.
The founder of Dalukhanyo Pre-School, Nontsapho Nqeketho, said that she was happy about this outreach because she believes the children got a new start.
“I believe that they will never forget what they were taught in that event. They were taught about the Bible and other things that might help a child to gain wisdom,” said Nqeketho.
