People who take the time out of their busy lives to give help to others in the Buffalo City Metro Municipal area will be celebrated in an award ceremony this month.
The four recipients of the awards in the Metro’s 10th annual Inspiration Awards, an event acknowledging inspirational achievements by NGOs and individuals throughout the Buffalo City Metro Municipality are:
Mike Webb of the Pink Fairy Multisport Adventures, who engages in diverse fundraising, raises approximately R160 000 annually for causes close to his heart.
Elaine Brenkman, founder of Guardians of Hope SA, through her organisation, provides loving care to vulnerable children, emphasizing family reunification and adoption.
Mphakamisi Mqabi of Teenagers Football Club empowers the youth of Mpongo through sports, education, and mentorship.
Mark McKerry, a police captain with a heart of gold, volunteers in several communities, helping those in need.
The awards, which will take place on Friday, 30th August at the Abbotsford Christian Centre in East London, aim to uplift and promote social impact as well as promote the culture of compassion and community engagement.
Director of the awards, Caron de Coriolis said “These awards not only celebrate their achievements, but also inspire others to contribute positively to our society.
