Municipality to host homecoming ceremony for Mthatha award winner

The spokesperson for King Sabatha Dalindyebo (KSD) Local Municipality in Mthatha, Sonwabo Mampoza confirmed that Leeds Road will be closed today, May 9, from 05:00 to 17:00 due to the homecoming ceremony for well-known gospel singer, Betusile Mcinga.

He recently won an award for his song “Ngena Noah”, which won Song of the Year at the Metro FM Awards that were held at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga, on May 6. 

“He will be fetched from the Mthatha Airport and the celebration will be held at Mthatha City Hall. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and KSD Traffic Officers will be available to give directions and assistance where necessary,” said Mampoza. 

He said any inconvenience that may be caused by this is regrettable.
