Moko Sports Foundation’s Easter Rugby Tournament set to thrill

The Moko Sports Foundation (MSF) extends a warm invitation to all rugby enthusiasts and sports lovers to join them at their annual Easter Tournament, promising four days of gripping rugby action and a showcase of local talent both on and off the field.

Set to take place from March 29 to April 1, 2024, at the esteemed Moko Sports Complex in Zihlahleni Location, the event is expected to host 32 teams, ensuring a riveting display of skill and sportsmanship.

The tournament kicks off with the group stage matches, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30, from 09:00 to 17:00. Spectators can anticipate action-packed encounters as teams battle it out for supremacy on the field.

Sunday, March 31, promises a diverse lineup of sporting disciplines, including rugby and cricket. The excitement intensifies with the commencement of the rugby tournament’s knockout stage at 09:00, followed by the highly anticipated final of the Ray Mali T20 cricket tournament from 09:00 to 12:00.

Rugby fanatics can look forward to the quarterfinal games from 14:30 to 17:00, concluding the day’s events with high-stakes matches.

As the tournament progresses into its final day on Monday, April 1, spectators can witness the semifinal games starting at 10:00, alongside an exhilarating horse race. The pinnacle of the event arrives with the final rugby showdown commencing at 13:30.

Before the grand finale, two finals of the under-18 girls’ and under-17 boys’ rugby tournaments will captivate the audience, setting the stage for an unforgettable conclusion.
