MAYOR of King Sabatha Dalindyebo (KSD) Local Municipality, Councillor Nyaniso Nelani, addressed community members concerning a voice note circulating that falsely claims the municipality is currently employing marshals for a new parking system.
According to the statement issued by Mayoral spokesperson, Olwethu Mabovula, Nelani has taken note of this misinformation with great concern and would like to clarify that KSD Municipality is not in the process of hiring parking marshals at this time.
“This voice note is misleading and should be disregarded, as it does not reflect the municipality’s current employment status or practices.
“Considering this, he strongly discourages members of the public from engaging with, or spreading this call for employment,” said Nelani.
She said that misinformation can cause unnecessary confusion and anxiety within their communities, and it is crucial that they all remain vigilant against such false claims.
KSD Municipality is committed to transparency and will communicate any legitimate employment opportunities directly through official channels.
The community is encouraged to stay informed by following their official social media pages and website for accurate updates.
