INTSIKA Yethu Local Municipality has lost a dedicated leader who cared about the development of his community.
Municipal council speaker, Yanga Zicina, said the community of Intsika Yethu was saddened by the passing of Ward 15 councillor, Mpumzi Mfamana, on July 13.
He said the municipality had been robbed of a young and dedicated leader.
“The municipal council has been dispossessed of one of the dedicated young leaders who ensured his community and Intsika Yethu at large were served.
“May we all find consolation in acknowledging that we all painfully share the untimely loss of a respected leader who cared about his community and worked diligently towards the development of his community,” he said.
“Intsika Yethu Municipality Council conveys its deepest sympathy to the Mfamana family and friends. The municipality has lost a valuable asset who was a leader to our municipality. Mfamana will forever be missed and may his soul rest in eternal peace,” Zicina said.
