The Eastern Cape Department of Education MEC Fundile Gade sent his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late school educator, Nomfusi Potelwa from Dinizulu Secondary School in Dutywa, after he was allegedly fatally shot, execution style while at home on August 8.
Potelwa was allegedly fatally shot at about 19:00 by unknown assailants.
Gade sent his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends and hope they find solace in the God during this trying time of their lives.
According to the spokesperson for the Department of Education, Mali Mtima, for now the details of the incident are still unknown and a case has been opened with the local SAPS and an investigation is underway.
“All the individuals at the school who have been affected by the incident will be provided with psycho-social grant, as the district will activate the service for them,” said Mtima.
The SAPS has not yet confirmed the alleged fatal shooting.
