Qinebe Global, a youth-owned emerging business providing food and entertainment services in Buffalo City, recently received a much needed new kitchen equipment boost from the Eastern Cape government’s Isiqalo Youth Fund business investment initiative.
Isiqalo Youth Fund (IYF) is an initiative of the Eastern Cape government in partnership with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) aimed at empowering and providing financial assistance to youth-owned businesses and young entrepreneurs in the province.
Isiqalo Youth Fund donated a brand new full kitchen set equipment to Qinebe Global.
Situated in th leafy Amalinda suburb, Qinebe Global which operates as a company, provides fast food, arts, app-tech and entertainment events.
Qinebe Global owner and managing director (MD), Somila Tyityi, told the Mthatha Express that the new kitchen equipment will assist in his plans to expand the fast food takeaway section, including the fast food purchase app and a pop-up restaurant model.
“We have also built a prototype app named Fetchit that will enable our customers to order our food and have it quickly delivered to their homes. This will help improve our customer services. As we expand, we plan to add more services to the Fetchit platform bringing human convenience to a level that is unmatched,” said Tyityi.
Born and raised in East London, Tyityi’s passion for cooking started at an early age in his mother’s kitchen, resulting in the establishment of his own business.
He attended West Bank High School before enrolling at the Walter Sisulu University (WSU) where he became a student leader.
In December, Isiqalo provided a R300 000 financial boost to Mario’s Grass Cutting Services operating in the Buffalo City region.
Amahomba Entertainment, a production studio based in Mdantsane also received musical and photography equipment valued at R500 000 from Isiqalo.
