Olwethu “Bom-Bom” Rasmeni, 25, has been missing since January 19. Rasmeni was last seen in Whittlesea, Eastern Cape, en route to visit family in Lady Frere.

Rasmeni’s family is now pleading with the public for any information regarding his whereabouts after he went missing nearly three months ago.

According to his family, he had informed them that he was on his way to visit relatives in Lady Frere, but he never arrived.

His sudden disappearance has left the Rasmeni family distraught and concerned for his safety.

“He told us where he was going, and we trusted that he would arrive safely, but hours turned into days, and no one heard from him again,” a family member said. “We’ve searched everywhere, asked everyone, but there is still no trace of him.”

Olwethu’s case has drawn the attention of local residents, with community members distributing missing person posters on social media and in surrounding towns. Despite their efforts, no confirmed sightings or leads have emerged.

The Eastern Cape has faced increasing challenges with missing person cases in recent years, many of which remain unresolved. For the Rasmeni family, the uncertainty and lack of closure has been devastating.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Rasmeni or have information about his movements on or after 19 January to come forward.
