Police are investigating an inquest docket after a man’s body, who also happens to be a traffic officer (40) from King Sabatha Local Municipality in Mthatha, and a woman (30) were found in Sibanye Extension, Mpindweni locality in Mthatha yesterday.
The Express cannot mention their names, as their next of kin has not yet been notified.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said it is alleged that when the deceased failed to report for work, a colleague went to his homestead and found the two dead.
“The house was locked; the cause of death is unknown, and a post-mortem will be done to determine such. Next of kin still to be notified,” said Naidu.
