Police have launched a manhunt following the killing of a 55-year-old businessman who was reportedly gunned down by two unknown suspects yesterday evening, October 10, at about 18:00 in Corana Locality.
According to reports, the funeral parlour owner was driving his vehicle with a 47-year-old female passenger when a White Ford Bantam stopped them, and two men fired shots at them.
“The businessman died on the spot after sustaining injuries in the upper body, while the passenger was brought to hospital after suffering injuries to her lower body.”
“The motive behind this gruesome incident is yet to be determined, and no arrests have been made. Investigation continues,” said police spokesperson Captain Welile Matyolo.
The police are yet to confirm the identity of the deceased.
