Mthatha police are investigating a case of attempted murder against King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) Local Municipality law enforcement officers.
Police spokesperson, Captain Welile Matyolo, confirmed the matter was under police investigation.
Mthatha Express understands that a car wash operator was allegedly shot after an altercation with one or more officers.
He said the officers also opened a case of attack on a law enforcement agency personnel against the victim.
“Suspect/s not yet arrested as the investigation is at a very crucial/ delicate stage and after (that), the docket will be taken to the prosecutors (NPA) who will decide whether to prosecute or not,” Matyolo said.
