FC RAVENS head coach Kurt Lentjies said despite collecting the maximum three points against Bush Bucks FC, he was not happy with the team’s performance.

FC Ravens created many scoring opportunities, but they only scored once in the second half, as Bush Bucks FC players were also fighting for their first win, defending, but it was not meant to be for Imbabala as they lost the game 1:0.

Speaking to Express after the match at Mthatha Stadium, Lentjies said despite not playing good football on the day, results are what matters.

“Let’s take the results, we don’t want to talk about the performance. The most difficult thing for us today was to play simple football.”

“We missed many chances today, and the confidence of the guys dropped, and it’s something we have to work on next time.”

“I am not happy with the performance today at all.”

Lentjies said they are competing for the league.

“The reason we are here is to compete, and I am ready for the league, and at the end of the season, there is no doubt we are going to be at the top,” he added.

Reflecting on last weekend’s Nedbank Cup 1:0 defeat by Matta Milan FC, Kurt Lentjies said nothing went wrong in that match.

“It was not meant to be, but the FC Ravens performed very well.”

Meanwhile, another Mthatha team, Mighty Eagles FC, managed to win their second league match on Saturday after defeating Young Challengers FC by one goal to nil (1:0) at WSU Stadium.
